✨ My fidget family just grew by one!
I've added two new pieces of chewellery to my professional sensory toolkit, and I'm can't hide my excitement!
As someone who coaches neurodivergent professionals, I practice what I preach – my desk, bag, and now neck are filled with tools that help my brain function at its best. From spinners to tangles, putty to pressure toys – and now this new chewellery piece!
What fascinates me is how each tool serves a different sensory need. Some days I need deep pressure, other days it's repetitive motion, and sometimes (like during today's mid-week focus slump) I need something to chew that isn't my pen lids, fingernails, or the inside of my cheek.
The more I embrace these needs instead of masking them, the more effective I become in my work. Funny how that works, isn't it?
Every fidget in my collection tells a story about self-acceptance and rejecting the notion that professionalism means hiding who we are.
